Under the stewardship of Alan Fitzpatrick, 8 Sided Dice Recordings continues to maintain its reputation as one of the most consistent techno labels via a steady stream of well-received releases. The label operates as both a home for high profile artists and an outlet for emerging talent; striking a balance between output from Fitzpatrick and his contemporaries including contributions from Rich Jones, Chris Colburn, ON/OFF, Harvey McKay, Hans Bouffmyhre and Nicole Moudaber.

label. This latest installment in an impressive run of EP’s see’s
Colburn drop three more classic sounding cuts; Wide Awake (jacking,
Detroit-inspired minimalism), Whipped (pounding, funky groove) and Never
Gonna Stop Again (sparse, spacey vibes)
Having asked to remix ‘Wide Awake’ after receiving the track directly
from Chris, Rebekah showed just how much she liked the track by
delivering two remixes. Her Fully Awake remix is typical of the
no-nonsense ‘heads-down’ style that has earned Rebekah’s previous work
plaudits from Adam Beyer and Chris Leibing, while the Half Asleep mix
reworks the original stab pattern to deep hypnotic effect.
